Welcome to my blog! I love beading and this blog is an attempt to share a few of my beady tries and things, thoughts and thrills and inform you about what's new (patterns, jewelry, etc..) I got hooked by the wonderful art of beading in 2004 and never stopped since then. I live in Switzerland, in a small town between Geneva and Lausanne.
I just want to thank you so much regarding your contribuion of the IBW Solitaire Board Game. My grandmother taught me how to play on a little round wooden table that my Great Uncle Gene handmade for her, and he used little ball bearings for the marbles. He even made a round swing out drawer on the bottom to store the beads, and he painted three of the dents red, in order to remind us of the first two moves. The crafstmanship is exceptional and at the age of 69, I still have that game and play it just to remind myself how to win so I can teach my grandhildren. I have often though of trying to simulate the game with beads, so when I saw your pattern, I immediately went online to download it. I also found the history of the game! So thank you for your time and dedication to beading. And "thanks for the memories".....in beads! : )
Hi Christy! what a lovely story and memory! Thank you very much for sharing this with me. I appreciate it. Wishing you many more happy moments of bliss playing with this game. It's good for the neurons :D
